Improved Flex Starter theme and more Flex upgrades launched

Following the launch of our new Flex Bold premium theme, we are proud to announce upgrades on our Flex Starter theme. The Starter theme is our most basic real estate theme and is perfect for smaller teams, but still punches above its weight when you compare it with other websites. Some of the latest upgrades include:

  • Upgraded header. We now offer customisation of your website header, similiar to what is provided below on the sample website. Contact us for a quote.


  • Design tweaks: We improved the search results, property details and other pages, using our industry leading responsive design architecture. Your one website will work on all devices for a seamless user experience. 
  • Currency converter: Now offered as standard.
  • Bond calculator: Now offered as standard.
  • Free valuation form: Now offered as standard. (Leads also pushed through to Base similiar to property leads and general enquiries).
  • Property alerts: A basic property alerts system, including signup form is now included. Clients who sign up for your alerts, are automatically notified of new listings loaded by your team. Should you wish to later upgrade to our Standard Flex package, which includes advanced alerts subscriptions, you will keep your subscription list. Existing Starter clients can contact us to include the alerts in their current websites.
  • Favourites share: You can mark favourites and get a shareable link of all favourites.
  • Agent profiles: Improved layout, including bio and social media links.
  • Further performance and SEO improvements.

The Starter theme is available on our Flex Lite package, individual features can be reviewed here. It's the only real estate platform for estate agents that offer 100% uptime and offers free updates on small requests. It can be powered by Base, or by external systems through our Sync interface.

A small South African or Namibian real estate office or team would pay roughly R1000/month ex VAT for a Flex Starter website on our Lite package, Base management system and Sync listing syndication to all the top portals for 50 active listings. Based on client feedback, we made a few tweaks to our newly launched Flex packages, and made the Bold theme also available on our more affordable Standard package. Property24 acquires Private Property, what do estate agents think?

Property24.com, South Africa’s largest property portal owned by Naspers, has bought rival Private Property . The deal is likely to come under the close scrutiny of competition authorities as it involves the two biggest property portals in the country. Due to the impact of such an acquisition on the industry, Entegral was interested to find out what the perceived advantages and disadvantages of such a deal would be, both through the eyes of the consumer and the estate agent.   Here are the results from around 250 responses received on a survey done over a 2 day period , mostly from agents and agency owners. US trends show more buyers come from internet, less from print

What’s even more interesting is that print newspaper hardly makes an impact, a mere 3% of buyers found their home through print.
