New MyProperty Namibia and Marketplace for estate agent launched

We are pleased to announce the launch of the new MyProperty Namibia property portal and new MyProperty Marketplace for estate agents.

New MyProperty Namibia

The new website comes with loads of new features for consumers and agents, including:

  • A smarter way to search for property in any location or point of interest.
  • New neighbourhood profiles that not only showcase the beauty of Namibia but aim to give you insight into specific areas via neighbourhood expert profiles.
  • Improved for sale and to rent pages with integrated maps.
  • Larger listing photo galleries with live currency conversions.
  • Integrated video and virtual tours on listings for agents supporting this. Agents can use Entegral Tours, Matterport, or alternatives. Video integration is supported via Youtube
  • Various new property tools including property alerts, careers page, and property alerts
  • Improved agent and agency profile pages showcasing the latest listings and a new estate agent search.
  • A great Namibia real estate FAQ Guide for consumers, attorney listings, and the opportunity for attorneys to contribute to property law questions.
  • New MyProperty Marketplace offers agents the opportunity to enhance their profiles and showcase their expertise.

New MyProperty Marketplace

We are also excited to announce the initial launch of our new MyProperty Marketplace app for Namibia. MyProperty Marketplace provides a range of new features for estate agents to enhance their exposure on the portal and social media channels. It aims to connect consumers with leading professional estate agents in their areas.

This includes the ability for estate agents to enhance their profiles with credentials, languages spoken, bio, services offered, primary area of operation, and even a way to verify their FFC status.

Agents can create and update neighbourhood profiles. These are perfect to showcase their expertise and are integrated throughout the portal to create enhanced exposure.

More to come

It was a big task to switch over the current MyProperty Namibia website to our new platform (which is also used for our South African website). With that done, we are now looking forward to the next set of upgrades including an improved property search experience to be rolled out before the end of 2022 for both South Africa and Namibia. There are a lot more interesting upgrades and tools planned, and we are looking forward to implementing these soon and getting as much feedback as possible from agents and consumers.

Change the way you look at portals

Our goal with MyProperty is to create more transparent buying, selling, and renting experiences, and this starts with educating consumers on the important role of the estate agent and helping them connect with the best professionals out there. Our approach is evident in the new portal.

As a company, we have a deeply rooted value system in working with the real estate industry to help create sustainable marketing exposure for consumers and agents. The real estate industry is changing and we believe it is critical for estate agents to support sustainable portals where high advertising costs are not indirectly passed on to the consumer.

As a self-funded company, this is a big task, but we are not here to please investors, we are laser-focused on the consumer and agent and enhancing the industry through our open real estate platforms. This is why we appreciate every bit of support and are working to opening up more competition in the space

Thank you for your support of MyProperty Namibia through the years, we are excited about the journey ahead!
