Listing syndication improvements to free property portals

Interface adjustments on 4 free portals

The OMS interface to the following free portals: ImmoAfrica,uPrice,Price Check and OLX, have been adjusted to include more listings. It will now include all your listings loaded in the last 6 months (based on the mandate start date):

A reminder that the OMS shows any errors with listings to paid portals with a red icon as per sample below. Hover your mouse over the icon to get the error message. In this case, there aren’t enough photos on the listing. You can simply add more photos and the property will re-queued for export to the portal (and usually updated within 15min to property24, private property and myproperty).

There are also direct links to your listings included next to each portal, you can simply click on it to open the listing on the external website.

Property24 rental default

If you have a contract with Property24, your rental listings option checkbox will now be unchecked by default when loading a new property listing. Simply click on it to include the rental to Property24. This has been done to better cater for the limited fixed rental slots on that portal. If the listing status is for sale, it will still be checked by default.image

Property24 acquires Private Property, what do estate agents think?

Property24.com, South Africa’s largest property portal owned by Naspers, has bought rival Private Property . The deal is likely to come under the close scrutiny of competition authorities as it involves the two biggest property portals in the country. Due to the impact of such an acquisition on the industry, Entegral was interested to find out what the perceived advantages and disadvantages of such a deal would be, both through the eyes of the consumer and the estate agent.   Here are the results from around 250 responses received on a survey done over a 2 day period , mostly from agents and agency owners.
