Uploading documents to your listing mandates just got easier

A new documents tab on listings in Base now provides an easy way to upload mandated related files:

  • You can upload an unlimited number of documents to all your listing mandates. Since there is no need to delete listings in Base, you can keep this on sold or inactive listings too.
  • Popular file types are allowed including PDF, Microsoft office and image files.
  • By default documents are only visible to listings agents on the mandate but can be opened so that any other agents in your office can view the documents too.
  • Documents are uploaded and stored on our highly secure cloud infrastructure.
  • Since Base is responsive, you can upload and view documents on your mobile phone too.

This is a great way to store signed mandate agreements, CMA's, offers and other related files on your mandate.



Notes: 
Until now, you could upload documents via the diary tab, this option is still available if you want to save files in a chronological order related to certain events (e.g. you did a viewing or property inspection and wanted to capture related photos for that day).

If you are looking to upload files to listings for public display on your Flex website, simply navigate to the media tab and upload files there.

Property24 acquires Private Property, what do estate agents think?

Property24.com, South Africa’s largest property portal owned by Naspers, has bought rival Private Property . The deal is likely to come under the close scrutiny of competition authorities as it involves the two biggest property portals in the country. Due to the impact of such an acquisition on the industry, Entegral was interested to find out what the perceived advantages and disadvantages of such a deal would be, both through the eyes of the consumer and the estate agent.   Here are the results from around 250 responses received on a survey done over a 2 day period , mostly from agents and agency owners. US trends show more buyers come from internet, less from print

Where home buyers found the home they purchased- 2001 vs. 2008   Have a look at the very interesting figures published for USA home buyers on: http://rismedia.com/2009-03-29/buyers-becoming-more-successful-finding-homes-through-internet/   The NAR statistics show that 7 years on from 2001, 32% of home buyers found their home through the internet. What’s even more interesting is that print newspaper hardly makes an impact, a mere 3% of buyers found their home through print.
