Are you being social? Why real estate agents should use social media

Image
Are there better offline marketers than real estate agents? We might be biased, but we highly doubt that there is an industry in which people work harder and longer to make a sale. Agents know how to connect with clients on a personal level, they know their communities inside out and are keen networkers - so why is it that so many do not take their savvy online? For the most part, social media marketing for real estate agents should be the same as their offline marketing - get involved in community events, network with other real estate agents and add a personal touch to whatever you do. Just how do you get social? There are countless social media platforms available but the two basic accounts to have is Facebook and Twitter. The simple reason for this is that you can get exposure without having to invest large amounts of time. Share community news and events, latest listings or property market insights. Use images whenever possible as they remain the most engaging type of po...

Entegral launches ground breaking new Cloud Infrastructure

Image
We are proud to announce that we have moved all real estate products and websites (including the OMS) to our new Cloud Hosting infrastructure at Amazon AWS.   Entegral takes the lead by being the first real estate service provider in Southern Africa to make this bold move. Our new cloud infrastructure will allow us to scale our products and services to new levels and provide an unparalleled service uptime . Although we have an excellent track record with service uptime, the outages caused by last week’s hardware failures on our dedicated servers, prompted us to make the move earlier than the planned switchover in June.  With over 100 new SEO profile websites launched in November 2010 we were also quickly outgrowing our dedicated server environment. What is ‘the cloud’? Cloud computing provides Entegral with the power of a shared pool of configurable computing resources (i.e. servers, networks, storage, etc) that can be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal manage...

Geocode your properties for maximum effect

In the sample below the property location was marked (A) and as a result Google Streetview (B) was enabled together with the unique Driving Directions (C) feature. Google Streetview is autmatically enabled if you have marked the property to show on a map, and Streetview is available for the street. Now if you’ve done this and and it is one of those special properties Tweet us @MyPropertySA and we may just retweet it to our followers and give you extra exposure on MyProperty.co.za too.
